I am using WordPress Politico theme, and would like to move slider to another page and call it Photo Gallery, thereby making a new page the home page. Is this possible?
Yes, it is with Smooth Slider wordpress plugin. You can created an image slider through Smooth Slider and embed the same on the new page by using shortcode. Then you can select the home page as new page from Dashboard settings panel.
